The Nebula was designed by Joris Laarman in 2007. Laarman creates industrial designs for Flos and Vitra. He also designs experimental work in collaboration with scientists, engineers and craftsmen from around the world. In 2011 he received an award for design innovator of the year by the Wall Street Journal.
Nebula has an aluminum body where 10 blown glass shells are attached to, each of a different size. The suspension gives a nice indirect light.
